We're selling premium, hormone-free Natural Prairie Beef branded beef directly to consumers via our online store and onsite at our plant.
Who owns Keystone Processors Ltd.?
The company is owned jointly by the Manitoba Cattle Enhancement Council and Natural Prairie Beef Inc. The company expects to welcome additional shareholders in the future as the plant becomes operational and is able to accommodate additional processors.
When will it be operational?
The plant became operational in 2009 when it began selling its beef to Manitobans.
When will it be accepting cattle?
The first step is to get the plant open for processing. Until then, it will be sub-contracting the slaughter of cattle to other Manitoba facilities.
What kind of cattle will it accept?
The plant will be open to all Manitoba cattle producers and breeding programs Keystone Processors also expects other processors will use the facility on a contract basis to process other local brands of beef and bison.
How can I get my cattle to Keystone Processors Ltd.? Do I need to be in the Natural Prairie Beef program?
